Item DescriptionHo, ho, ho! Have you got those Christmas Lights For Yard decorations and holiday glee yet? Yeah, you know exactly what I’m talking about. This is the yearly ritual for most American households. We all just love to go all out when it comes to Christmas. Well there’s that, and we also like to compete with the neighbors. But that’s all in good holiday fun as well. Last year I actually went crazy with Christmas Lights For Yard appeal. I’m talking people could ride by my home and literally be blinded by the glare of it all. They probably thought the second coming of Christ was upon them. Are you going to this level for the Christmas holidays? Many people like to set the bar, if you haven’t already noticed. A few in my neighborhood even like to toss those massive Christmas Lights For Yard illumination throughout the trees. Last year I was flabbergasted by how decorative folks got. I saw Santa Claus and about 20 little reindeer on my neighbor’s roof. The entire thing was animated and dowsed in fake snow. Did Santa even have this many reindeer? That’s okay though. This year we shall see who is the most inventive when it comes to Christmas Lights For Yard and oodles of decorations. I plan to have the entire North Pole spread out on my front lawn. We’re talking the whole Santa house with the elves making toys and all. I can’t wait to see how my neighbor is going to top that. I might even hire a guy in a Santa suit to stand out there and yell “Ho, HO, HO” at the top of his lungs. Yeah, that may sound a tad extreme, but like I said, it’s all in good holiday fun. You may find it easier to head out to the ginormous home stores now. They always have truck loads of Christmas Lights For Yard decoration, props, animated figurines, and artificial trees. Just take your pick from the vast selection. I mention that now is a good time simply to avoid the rush, but the reality is that you may have to wait until after Halloween for them all to come out. This is the yearly schedule if I’m not mistaken. On the other hand, you can always resort to the web for Christmas Lights For Yard decoration, and much more. Hop on and see what you can find. These lights are not well made. A tug in the wrong direction and the lights go out. Need to be made much stronger at the “joints” to hold up. Buy net lights on sale and save yourself a bundle.
We put these lights out this year, and we got many compliments on them! They look just like the product pictures. We even had a snow and they shone up through the snow for an amazing display. The lights took virtually 20 minutes to put out, and had a big impact on our exterior illumination! We used 2 sets for maximum visibility, but one set probably could have done the job. Definitely worth the investment, and our friends and neighbors were very impressed (little did they know we spent minutes rather than hours on our Christmas lights this year!) Great creative product!!
I brought these lights as part of my holiday Christmas decorations. I was a little skeptic when I was purchasing them. They arrived right on schedule, no delays. They look exactly as they did in the video I reviewed on their web site. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had them up in no time.
Now, here comes the great part. I live on the east coast and we just had our most snow ever in the month of December, since 1907 (I wasn’t even born then. The snow completely covered my lights by at least 13 inches. My lights were above ground by about 7″. We had a little over 20″ of snow. AND….you could still see the lights under the snow when I turned them on at night. It was a very beautiful glowing image under the snow.
The weekend after Christmas, it rained hard for two days and washed all the snow away. My neighbors all told me that they liked the light better when they were shinning from beneath the snow covered lawn…image that.
Would I recommend the Lawn Lights, yes, yes, yes
Lawn Lights Illuminated Outdoor Decoration, LED
I liked the idea of a long string of lights without attaching multiple groups so I ordered this set. While this fit the need, I feel the description should indicate how many lights per foot. The lights are spaced too far apart for my taste, about 5 feet, but they were easy to handle, as stated.
This review addresses the LED version of the Lawn Lights. I have not used the incandescent version and cannot speak to its merits.
This is unique decoration that I have not seen before, even here in a city where Christmas decorations are an art form. The effect is interesting, eye-catching, and evokes many comments and compliments. The lights can be laid out and picked up very quickly, an asset here in the deep south where we mow lawns in mid-winter.
A couple of points. First, the smaller the property you wish to cover, the more lights you need per unit area. Widely spaced lights in a large, open field look fine. On a modest suburban yard, they look sparse. I ordered one length of lights for my lawn but will obtain a second before next Christmas. Second, follow the manufacturer’s recommendation and buy a reel to hold the lights. The reels are cheap and they work well. Third, while the manufacturer touts the build quality of the lawn lights they actually appear to be no better constructed than LED lights that you can buy at Christmas in every WalMart or Home Depot. Handle them carefully.
Overall, I really like Lawn Lights and recommend them to others.
